Maui Jungle Green home updates
New trail work. You can kind of see a swing from the large left hanging branch. I prefer swings to benches, if given a choice.
I added a couple swings along the upper trail.
Most of the trees up here are strawberry guava. A yummy fruit but very invasive, and they attract bugs and pigs when they fall. I'm trying to cut them back and plant other trees and plants.
I splerged on a couple new trees. A macadamia nut tree.
A Peanut Butter tree!
I have never tried a PB tree fruit before but I was intrigued!
Mountain Apple.
I will have to wait a few years before I get any fruit from these trees but fun to try!
Hopefully these guys will stay on that side of the stream!
Another swing.
Check out the size of this red lettuce! One leaf is enough for a salad!
I had some potatoes sprouting so planted them. You can also see one of the gates I put in last year. This one leads south towards the bamboo forest.
I ignored my radishes too much... This is one radish.
The edible part is still only the size of a normal radish...
Top of the house from the new trail. Looking West.
Sphagneticola trilobata (Wedelia) A fast growing ground cover, but gets out of hand easily!
The upper trail area, looking from the garden, between an orange tree and Cola tree.
