New
Years Day we
went to the
property and
found the
stream running!
We
can hear the
stream from the
upper main area
too! What a
great
sound! We
found a
converted tour
van for sale,
the end of
2008, which
will make a
great
office.... Then
in January, we
happened upon a
real RV for
sale and now
have a real
house! We
feel ready to
move in!
March

some more work
on the
cattery... Click
here for a
couple more
pix. ________________ April
24 Although
it is a little
cold..... Beautiful
weekend! July
Looks
more like
winter
now... Stream
really ran hard
for a few
days,
Been
enjoying
Loquats, guava,
and strawberry
guava. Another
beautiful
Weekend, of
course... Shaun
mowed. It's
amazing how
fast the grass
grows! MARCH

Many small
pools which
will be great
to relax
in!
Came equipped
with a small
bed and some
shelving
too...
Equipped with
propane stove
and fridge...
Home
sweet
home...
We took the tents down, with some help from the wind...
and moved the
rv.
We will
pull the black
van closer and
build a deck,
with pallets
and
plywood,
between them
and cover the
space with a
roof..
and surround it
with fencing
for a
cattery...
We really just
need to build a
cattery before
we can actually
move!
We will also
need a cell
phone booster,
since our cell
phones don't
work that great
there...
and some form
of electricity
to get us by
until we can
put in a nice
solar
system.
Not sure if we
can get
internet there
or not
yet...
e
We decided to
hire a friend
to help with
the cattery,
since we have
so little
time...
We are planning
on putting a
cage between
the two RVs in
the back to
start..
Just using four
foot tall chain
link., which we
got for
free
Shaun
and
Rodney...
CHICKENS!!!
more on
them....
The
stream has been
flowing non
stop for over 3
months!
It is so
beautiful!
Here
is a wide
angle.
You can kind of
make out part
of the trail on
the
right...
The trail goes
through the
torch ginger
area...
May

We went
swimming
again....
Didn't bring
the camera so
no nudey
pix....
We tried
another
swimming
hole...
Found one
around 5 feet
deep! Vey nice!
Room to even
swim a
little!
We did work a
little
too...
We added to the
patio....
Added some
furniture to
the cattery in
back.
Cut some
branches here
and
there...
We want to cut
down most of
the sickly rose
apple trees on
the hill....
(the brownish
trees)
Lots of
strawberry
guava up there,
but we want to
plant other
fruit trees
there
too...
plus we will
see morning sun
a little
earlier by
removing some
trees
too...
a little more
rain...
but then
cleared up
beautifully,
ready for
swimming!
Coffee is
getting red and
ready to
pick! And
lots of lemons
right now!
Shaun
found a used
Onan propane
generator on
Craigslist...
We have
Power!
We had to buy
another shed to
put it
in...
The picture is
Shaun starting
to put it up,
and in 2 days
almost finished
it...
Notice the two
chickens in the
right bottom
corner...
They are on the
blue cord... in
case you can't
see them...
They stay
close....
Here's Shaun
finishing the
generator
shed.... and
me, working on
making sure the
hammock still
works ok...
We also are
clearing out a
few trees here
and
there...
We covered part
of the hill in
back, by the
swing, to kill
the grass and
create dirt for
a garden...
We have
collected a
couple
trees....
A fig tree from
Ruben, although
it is used to
hot
weather...
A couple
Plumerias from
the plant at
the
office...
A Cola tree....
yep! Lowes had
it on sale so I
thought it
would be fun to
try and
grow...
They also had a
tree called
Black Sapote on
clearance....
Chocolate
Fruit! I had to
try that
one!
Pictures next
time...
We are also
building a
driveway piece
by piece...
Trying to get
rid of muddy
slippery spots
with recycled
concrete
pavers...
We left the
chicks up there
sunday... in
the cat
cage...
They love it up
there!
They follow us
around.... wait
for us to dig
up some nice
bugs for
them...
Come to us when
called...
"Birdy
Birdy"
We never knew
chickens made
such great
pets! They
really are fun
and
personable!
A little lonely
at the condo
now, with only
18 of
us...
May

Probably swam
for the last
time Saturday
though.
Hasn't rained
much. Just a
trickle flowing
in the
stream...
Shed number
three is in the
bottom left
corner...
Shaun saw it on
Craigslist for
free...
Just had to
pick it up and
put it on the
truck and drive
it
over!
We need a
full-time yard
worker! or
more!
We splurged and
bought two
avocado trees
and two orange
trees.
Had to start
our orchard
sometime...
We are putting
a cat run /
fence up
too...
Ain't a home
til ya get some
4 legged
critters
inside....
Stubbie goes
back and forth
with us every
weekend from
the
office...
Stubbie has the
tendency to
roam to far
from the
office,
so we are
keeping him
near us...
Hopefully
training him to
stay near the
RV...
He is happy
there with
us... Getting
all the
attention
helps...
Just wonder
what he's going
to think when
he has 16 more
kitties there
with him...
The chicks are
both doing
great too! (But
they don't come
inside... even
thought they
want to.)
the chick page
update...
Be sure and
click on the
link for the
rooster
crowing...
LOOK WHAT WE FOUND!
A tangerine
tree! WOW! We
didn't know we
had one
The tree is
fairly small,
and shaded,
with just a few
fruits, so we
will want to
open it up to
the sun!
It is on the
lower area,
near the
stream, and
bananas...
4 legged and 2
legged critters
from easily
coming up the
driveway...
We'll make it
fancier
later....
